I must admit that I made the decision to purchase this book after reading that it's turning into a movie with Sandra Bullock and Tom Hanks. This must be one good story!

Yeah, yeah, it's about a boy who lost his father in the September 11 attacks. Yeah, yeah...
The boy, Oskar Schell, found a key in a blue vase of his father's. With the key, he found a note with the word "Black". So it is his quest to find the key related to a "Black". In the end, the key belonged to someone totally unrelated to his father. In fact, it was just a by-chance that his father bought the blue vase from a yard sale.
Ultimately, it's a story about trying to hold on to someone you love so very much when you lose them so suddenly and so traumatically.
