I was not particularly thrilled about the new year.
It all started with not having a good December 2008.
There must be something in the air or some really bad feng shui for me. There was just a feeling of dread and just overall unpleasantness about that month.
What with another major landslide at Bukit Antarabangsa, daily news of economic recession looming ahead, and at the turn of the year, the violence in Gaza, it just makes for a not so happy 1st Jan 2009.
Sigh...
We can only hope and pray.

Personally, the best thing that happened in 2008 is the arrival of my sweet adorable niece whom I adore though not so much when she was less than three months old since she was too tiny and delicate and shriveled up. Not too cute then. But by the forth month when she began to gain more weight and be more responsive, oh my God - what joy to have her! Yup, she's a Godsent.
