It's the end of January '08 already. Thirty one days have passed.
Feels like only yesterday we were cheering in the new year.
How time flies.
Like a falling of a waterfall and the infinite flow of a stream.
Never stopping and never ending.
What about what the mind can perceive?

Do you see her spinning clockwise or counter-clockwise?
If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa.
Many of us would see the dancer turning counter-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction.
See if you can do it.

I have looked and looked and stared and forced myself.
Yet I still cannot make her go counter-clockwise.

I see that she moves both ways: 1st few rounds are clockwise where her right leg was up in the air so as the right hand elbow up and she's tiptoeing on her left foot. The 2nd time she made anti-clockwise (counter clockwise) rounds and her left leg and left arm were lifted up and her right foot was on the ground while balancing her pirouette.
I guess our right brain does the 1st job and controls our initial reactions for the 1st few/milli seconds but our left brain counter balances us by summoning and adding logics to what we have just perceived.
Emotions are mostly right brain and how we react depends on how we let our left brain acknowledge whatever cause and effect to our emotions. It's a whole yin and yang thing.
Argh!
Even with your description, I still cannot make her move counter-clockwise. This is exasperating.
My left brain refuses to be used. Dang! LOL!

if i look at her upper half of the torso, with my eyes locked to her left arm and head, i can see her moving counter-clockwise.
if look at the bottom half, focusing at at the tip of her toe, then i see her moving clockwise.
guess that make me middle-brained eh?
